Restaurant Review: Boom-a-rang Diner Owasso

The Boom-a-rang Diner opened it's doors this morning in the old Steak-2-Go location at 13720 East 86th Street North.

We gave them a try at lunch.

The diner has a combination of 10 tables and booths, each seating 4, and a counter area that seats 5.

It has a retro diner decor, complete with black and white check tiles on the floor and funny little signs and pictures on the wall.

Two of us tried the burger basket (priced at $4.99) and that growing son of mind had the chicken chunkies basket ($7.99).

Burger and fries were served together in your typical little diner basket. They are made to order, (non greasy style) and tasty.

The "Chicken Chunkies" were served with a side of gravy,  your choice of potatoes, fry bread and slaw. My son had never had fry bread, which is served here biscuit sized, and fell in love with it.

They serve breakfast anytime, which consists of omelettes, pancakes, eggs, etc.

They have burgers, regular and gourmet as well as basket meals. Prices range from $3.99 and up.

Their dinners include, hamburger steak, chicken fried steak, hot hamburger , chicken fried chicken and a hot link plate, ranging from $8.

Also included on the menu are beans and cornbread, bowl of chili, beef stew, Frito chili pie, chef salad and more from $3.99 - $5.99.

You can try them out for breakfast lunch and dinner, Monday-Saturday 7am-9pm.  They can be reached at 918-272-2929.

  1. Love them. We've going to the one in Claremore and they are awesome. So-o glad they are here in Owasso now. Be sure to try them.

  2. This is really a good place to have a lunch.

  3. Boom a rang diner is absolutely awesome! The burgers rival Hardens in Owasso. I'd still give Hardens the edge, but by a very narrow margin. There is NO better breakfast in town!! I had never been to a boomarang diner before. However, since discovering it here in Owasso, and having been to the one in Claremore, I can say without reservation, I have had some of the BEST food and consistent service in my life!! Boom a rang is in my top 5 short list of places to eat in the entire Tulsa and surrounding areas. Never dissappointed and my family and I are picky!
