Owasso Author Jenny Baskins to Hold Book Signing at Cherry Berry

OWASSO, Okla.—Jenny Baskins, local author of the new book titled Abba, a Daughter’s Cry, will be holding a public book signing at Cherry Berry in Owasso on September 4 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Abba, a Daughter’s Cry is a book of reconciliation for broken father-daughter relationships and of celebrating the restoration Christ brings to every relationship. It is written to encourage young women to begin the process of healing wounds of the past through embracing the love of God.

“Growing up, my father and I didn’t know how to communicate with one another,” Baskins said. “It led to a lot of arguments and pain for both of us. However, God had a different story for my father and me. His story was for restoration and healing in my heart, my father’s heart, and in our relationship. It is my hope that through this book women will know the love of God as a father and begin the journey to restoration inside their own relationships.”

Jenny Baskins grew up in Owasso and graduated from Owasso High School in 2006. Baskins graduated from Northeastern State University with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is married to Andrew Baskins, also a former Owasso High School graduate.

“I have been writing this book for the past five years,” Baskins said. “I am humbled to have the opportunity to finally have it published and to begin sharing my story with other women.”

Cherry Berry is located at 9046 N 121st E Ave in the Smith Farm Market.
