Get rid of unwanted prescription drugs at the Owasso Police Department on Saturday

Do you have expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs in your home?

The Owasso Police Department, along with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) is giving the public an opportunity to dispose of these medications on Saturday, September 29, 2012 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m.  Bring your medications for disposal to the City Hall, located at 111 North Main Street in Owasso.

This free and anonymous service is being offered in order to prevent pill abuse and theft by helping rid homes of potentially dangerous medications. Medicines that linger in homes are highly susceptible to misuse and abuse. Prescription drug abuse and accidental poisonings and overdoses with these medications are very high in the U.S.

Prevent potential safety and health hazards of throwing medications in the trash, or flushing them down the toilet, by bringing your prescription medications to police headquarters on Saturday.
