Monday morning fire destroys several business in Owasso

Fire closed several streets this morning near 76th and Main.  Just after 5am, Owasso Fire received reports of a structure fire on the south west corner of 76th and Main. 




Battalion Chief Shane Atwell stated that the fire began in Owasso Glass and spread through a shared attic to other businesses including Reliable Tire, Dolphin Pools and the Owasso Boxing Club. The pool business had just received nearly 10,000 pounds of powered chlorine and firefighters sprayed the chlorine with water to prevent a chemical fire. Owasso Police department evacuated two small complexes near 76th and Atlanta for a short time,  as a precaution.



As of 10am, the fire is mostly under control, OFD will continue fighting   hot spots throughout the morning.

There are no reports of any injuries.

Atwell stated business owners are trying to salvage what they can. The building is a total loss.
